Young People Celebrated at CSGN Parliamentary Event

The Central Scotland Green Network Trust held a parliamentary reception with Alex Neil MSP on 4 December 2018 at Holyrood.
The event, Investing in Young People; Investing in our Environment, focused on the Year of Young People 2018, highlighting the contribution our young people are making to greening the central belt through local and strategic action, and the benefits they enjoy from the CSGN.
Councils Pledge Support for John Muir Way

Falkirk, City of Edinburgh and East Lothian councils are the latest to pledge their support for the John Muir Way with the signing of a concordat.
Keith Geddes from the Central Scotland Green Network Trust (CSGNT) has been meeting council leaders and chief executives to sign the agreement which will benefit the outstanding coast to coast walking and cycling route which stretches 134 miles between Helensburgh and Dunbar.
TCV Signs CSGN Concordat

TCV has signed its CSGN Concordat agreement with Central Scotland Green Network Trust (CSGNT) to develop and enhance partnership working to realise the vision of the Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN).
John Muir Pollinator Way, funding success!

Thanks to funding from The Scottish Government and The Greggs Foundation, The Central Scotland Green Network Trust are supporting Buglife to create 25 pollinator ‘hubs’ at various points along the John Muir Way. This funding will allow Buglife Scotland the opportunity to expand and bolster the work already being undertaken to create the first urban B-lines in Scotland, The John Muir Pollinator Way.

As research* highlights that 75% of UK children spend less time outside than prison inmates, a major Scottish environmental forum has emphasised the importance of greenspace for young people.
The annual Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN) Forum focused on ‘Children, Young People + Greenspace = A Healthy Equation’ as world-renowned experts shared their insights on the ways that Central Scotland could work to improve children’s health, mental well-being and educational outcomes.
Busby Primary pupils create edible vertical garden
