The CSGNT stakeholder tour took place on 24th September. Guests from a variety of organisations were taken round a selection of green infrastructure and greenspace projects, hosted by a number of our CSGN partners.
The tour started by joining FCS for a preview of the Cuningar Loop before beginning its weekend openings to the public. The woodland park area is a £5.7 million Legacy 2014 project in the east end of Glasgow.
GCV Green Network Partnership then took the tour round some of the nearby examples of green infrastructure that have been adopted in the Clyde Gateway regeneration programme.
The tour continued to meet with Urban Roots to look around the community allotments in Toryglen. The space is maintained and developed by a group of volunteers.
Finally the tour finished at Castlemilk Woods, one of 14 Commonwealth Woods located in and around Glasgow. Cassiltoun Trust led the tour with information about the achievements that the trust has made with the local community.
