Central Scotland Green Network

CSGN to benefit from new Programme Manager role

In response to the Scottish Government reaffirming its commitment to the Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN) by including it as a national development in NPF4 – and highlighting the importance of the Delivery Plan 2030 (DP30) workstreams within the Planning Policy Handbook – the Green Action Trust is recruiting a dedicated CSGN Programme Manager.

The holder of this brand new position will coordinate development of the CSGN and delivery of DP30, in partnership with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders. They will have responsibility for engaging with all CSGN stakeholders and partners, managing these relationships and ensuring communication and engagement in support of CSGN priorities, action plans and strategic initiatives.

The CSGN is coordinated by the Green Action Trust and supported by the CSGN Partnership Group, with a range of stakeholders including public agencies, local government, charities, businesses and local communities. In 2021, the Partnership Group agreed a new CSGN Delivery Plan to 2030, building on the positive work done to date, and focussing on taking action to address the twin crises of climate and biodiversity on a regional scale.

We are delighted to be taking the ambitions of the Central Scotland Green Network to new heights by expanding the team here at the Green Action Trust. Providing a dedicated Programme Manager to allow the acceleration of delivery will help to make a real change on the ground to the people and environment of central Scotland.
