Discovering Trees in Glasgow: Free Tree Training

The Field Studies Council are offering a chance for 18-30 year-olds in Glasgow to learn more about the trees in their local community. Bookings are being taken for the upcoming course ‘Discovering Trees in Glasgow’.

During the 4-week course you will learn about tree biology and ecology, identifying trees, tree pest and disease, as well as how to pursue related voluntary and career opportunities in our city.

The course will be delivered through a mixture of self-led learning and live online webinars.

The course runs from 27th June 2023 – 08th August 2023. Register by 31st May for your chance to attend at:

The course made me take much more notice of trees during my walks, bringing leaves and fruit back home for identification. I shared my new knowledge with friends and they also took more notice of trees. The course was well presented and easy to navigate.
